Realistic Candle In Adobe Fireworks

Here’s a realistic candle I made in adobe fireworks cs3 , try to download the image to understand how I made it. It’s all vectors and standard fw plugins. Just save the image to your desktop :

Quick Tips :

a. When creating vector images, it’s not bad to copy or gain inspiration from a source, for example a real candle pic, you will understand it better when you see the real thing.

b. To add more depth to your image, put textures and add more layers into your design, so it won’t look too plain.

c. Feather is your master. Changing the edge type of your objects from Anti Alias to Feather is a good thing, if you notice in the file I have used it to create shadows, its an effective technique once you are able to master it.

d. Some designs look good in a light or dark backgrounds, and it won’t work both ways. For example this candle only looks good in a dark or black bg.

Nice rendering. The top portion looks real . Btw, Thanks for commenting on my blog. Designers inspire each other and we're in a healthy competition. In the end, clients and ourselves will benefit. Have a nice day ;)
