We do not have brushes in FW, but we can try a different approach on creating a grunge look using vectors. The key thing to note here is , experiment  on different approaches till you are satisfied.

Creating A Night Scene in Adobe Fireworks 8

This was my first Adobe Fireworks tutorial for the Adobe Design Center two years ago. It teaches you to create starts, clouds and a shiny moon =) , too bad the Alien Skin Filters have been discountinued  on fireworks cs3 and cs4 , but I’ll do my best to make an updated version of this tutorial someday without using the Alien Skin filters.
