Text Kerning in Adobe Fireworks

Kerning refers to adjusting the space between two letters. In Adobe Fireworks , the default horizontal kerning or “tracking” is 0. If we use only 1 word , it can easily be kerned by using the justified alignment button or by using tracking. But what if we want more kerning for two words, a phrase or even a paragraph ?

Creating A Fading Line Effect Using Adobe Fireworks CS4

One of the most overlooked tools in Adobe Fireworks is the Eraser Tool. It is a neat tool especially if you want to manipulate bitmaps. Vector paths with fills have options to use fill colors that are gradients , or semi transparent colors.

Adobe Fireworks Download of the Week – DragonAge Shield

For our Adobe Fireworks Png of the Week , I created this dragon shield based on the DragonAge Origins game.

I made the symbol in the center by tracing the dragon image in the website, or search for dragon age warden’s quest to get a full version of the dragon symbol , since the official site only offers the partial view of the dragon.

Adobe Fireworks CS5

Adobe just release its’ CS5 collection a few hours ago , I missed the live web launching due to a citywide blackout, sux!. Just like the previous CS versions , it comes in different flavors , Adobe CS5 Design Premium $1,899 , Adobe CS5 Web Premium $1,799 , Adobe CS5 Production Premium $1,699 and the most expensive one , Adobe CS5 Master Collection $2,599 , all of these suites also have an upgrade price for previous owners. You can pre order them , expected release would be around May , the trial is not available yet. The packaging looks awesome too, a mirror / reflection effect compared to the abstract effect last year.
